ArtWalk Longmont began as a monthly gallery hop, asking businesses to partner by hosting art and music, and transforming their storefronts into art galleries for the three annual ArtWalk events. This tradition continues, with artists applying for placement within venues each year.
In 2007, ArtWalk began closing Main Street between 3rd and 6th Avenues, presenting even more opportunities for artists and the public to experience the vibrant and growing culture of our city.
We are accepting artist applications for project proposals, vendor booth space, and exhibiting artist placement.
Artists participate in ArtWalk in three ways:
By submitting an application and fee, these artists are juried and are placed within venues during each event. Each Event spotlights a Featured Artist, who will receive a $200 stipend from ArtWalk Longmont.
Smaller-scale works produced by the artist along Main Street. Each event features 6-10 Artists-In-Action. This year, ArtWalk will accept and evaluate applications for Artist-In-Action interactive activities: If your process can be shared with the visiting public, ArtWalk can help provide supplies! Fill out the application form with a description of your process and a budget.
Artists looking to show and sell their work register for artist booths at a discounted rate, because it’s an arts festival!

Complete payment for the application fee:
Applications due April 1 for May event, August 1 for September Event.
All participants in ArtWalk do so with the understanding that their work and/or likeness could be used for promotional purposes by ArtWalk Longmont, Inc.
Placement is not guaranteed, as entries are juried by the ArtWalk Board in cooperation with our Sponsor Venues.
