ArtWalk Longmont began as a monthly gallery hop, asking businesses to partner by hosting art and music, and transforming their storefronts into art galleries for three annual ArtWalk events. This tradition continues, with artists applying for placement within venues each year.
In 2007, ArtWalk began closing Main Street between 3rd and 6th Avenues, presenting even more opportunities for artists and the public to experience the vibrant and growing culture of our city.
ArtWalk currently produces two events to book-end each summer season – covering four blocks of Main Street and into side streets!
We are accepting artist applications!
Artists participate in ArtWalk in three ways:
During each event, ArtWalk will provide up to $500 in project funding and space for one “Masterwork Observatory” where an artist will complete a project with community participation during the event.
Bring your process to the street! ArtWalk will provide street space, plus a tent and table, for artists who demonstrate their art-making techniques on the day of the event. Show our community what you create and how. Artists-In-Action may sell their work during the event.

Complete payment for the application fee:

All participants in ArtWalk do so with the understanding that their work and/or likeness could be used for promotional purposes by ArtWalk Longmont, Inc.
Placement is not guaranteed, as entries are juried by the ArtWalk Board in cooperation with our Sponsor Venues.
